In addition, there is also a smaller gift shop near the entrance where one can purchase environmentally friendly products such as reusable bags or postcards made from recycled paper! For those who love learning about ecosystems around us, take a hike through the trails. We have six miles worth of paths that meander through the woods and along waterways.

What not to do at Tacoma Nature Center?
Do not bring any pets. They are only allowed in the outside area, but you can’t go into the inside exhibits with them. Pets must remain on leash at all times when accompanying their owners or guardians who are attending an event or enjoying a public program held in areas where animals may be off-leash.
Do not leave your belongings unattended while visiting Tacoma Nature Center – they will be taken to lost and found if no one claims them after 30 minutes of being reported missing.
Do not use strollers or wheeled conveyances inside the Center. Stroller parking is located on both sides of the entrance to ensure easy access for parents and caregivers attending the facility’s programs, exhibits, classes, etc.
Tacoma Nature Center reserves the right to limit quantities and refuse any item deemed a potential safety hazard or distraction from program objectives as well as items deemed inappropriate by TNC management, including but not limited to glass containers, weapons, projectiles illegal substances regardless of they are possessed or consumed.
Tacoma Nature Center does not provide stroller parking inside the building; plan accordingly by securing strollers outside near the entrance before entering. If needed during your visit, we ask that parents/guardians remain with their children instead of bringing along strollers.
