History of Fort Vancouver National Historic Site | Visitor Center
Located in Vancouver, Washington, this historic site offers visitors a chance to explore more than 500 years of Northwest history. Built by the Hudson’s Bay Company and maintained as an active trading post for nearly 100 years, Fort Vancouver served as headquarters for the company’s fur trade on the Columbia River from 1824-1845. How to Get to Fort Vancouver National Historic Site | Visitor Center
Fort Vancouver National Historic Site | Visitor Center is located in Vancouver City, Washington. It’s easy to get there by car – take I-205 to Exit 30 and follow the signs. There is also a bus stop right at the park, so it’s easy to get there even if you’re not driving. Oregon City is the closest airport, but you can also fly into Portland International Airport if you want to drive from there.
Hours of Operation
The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset. The visitor center is open Monday-Friday from nine in the morning until five in the evening, and Saturday and Sunday from ten in the morning until six in the evening. Admission is free!
