Cleaning Happy Valley’s big newer homes since 2013
Happy Valley has grown faster than just about anywhere in the metro and the houses show it. These are big places, a lot of them four or five bedrooms with three or more baths, climbing the slopes around Scouters Mountain and Mt Talbert, filling in the master-planned stuff through Sunnyside and Rock Creek. Tall entryways, a ton of hard flooring, and stairs between everything. And they mostly belong to young families with two incomes and basically no free weekend, so a house this size doesn’t stay clean on willpower. It gets away from you in about ten days and then it’s a whole project. NW Maids has cleaned Happy Valley and the east Clackamas County suburbs since 2013 and we’ve done more than 40,000 homes around Portland and Puget Sound. You get a flat rate you see before you book, and if we miss something we come back and clean it again for free.

Home Cleaning
A regular one-time clean with a checklist you set room by room. Same flat price, nothing tacked on after.
Recurring Cleaning
This is the default here and it’s the one that actually solves the problem, because it keeps a big house from ever getting to the project stage. Weekly, biweekly, or monthly. You can pick your favorite Pros and we’ll do our best to send them every time, and after a couple visits they know the layout and which rooms the kids actually live in. The discount is real and it comes off every single clean and not just the first one ‐ 10% monthly, 15% biweekly, 20% weekly.
Deep Cleaning
Sized for the square footage, because a deep clean on a five-bedroom is not the same animal as a deep clean on a condo. We get in the oven, inside the cabinets, along the baseboards and the stair rails, into the window tracks and the vents, and up to the light fixtures. Good first visit before you settle into a schedule.
Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning
Families trade up constantly around here so these come through all the time. A move-out is a different job than a normal clean because you’re cleaning for whoever walks through with the checklist, so we clean it for what actually gets opened and checked.
Post-Construction and Post-Renovation Cleaning
With new builds still going up and finished basements going in, this is a real category here and not an afterthought. Construction dust behaves completely differently than house dust and it needs a different pass.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it worth getting a professional cleaner?
Absolutely! When you outsource your home maintenance tasks to professional house cleaners, you can count on their expert skills and specialized supplies to ensure a thorough job. Beyond that, hiring a maid service in Happy Valley means freeing up precious hours that you can spend with your family or on personal projects. The combined benefits of a meticulously clean space and the time saved make it a valuable investment.
How clean should you leave your house when you move out?
When relocating, you should leave your old residence in a pristine condition. Not only is this a nice gesture for the next occupants, it’s often a requirement, especially if you are renting. Dedicating time for a thorough move-out cleaning can also help you get your security deposit back and maintain positive relations with landlords or new homeowners.
What are the benefits of deep cleaning your house?
While regular upkeep maintains a home’s overall appearance, deep cleaning dives deeper. This is a treatment aimed at tackling accumulated dirt, grime, and hidden dust that basic maintenance might miss. It’s a way to ensure every nook and cranny is addressed, from the areas behind furniture to those high shelves. Deep cleaning in Happy Valley is something you should do occasionally to maintain a truly hygienic and fresh environment.
Do you tip house cleaners?
Tipping house cleaners is entirely up to you. While it’s a nice way to show appreciation for their hard work, it’s not a requirement. If you choose to tip, your maids will surely appreciate the gesture but rest assured, they’re committed to doing a great job regardless of a tip. You can give the tip either directly to your cleaner or through our system.
