Eastlake Homes

The average home in Eastlake is a one-story, ranch-style house built around the 1920s. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The homes in this area tend to be older but still well-maintained—the neighborhood does not see many new developments or current infill housing projects popping up like in some other places of Seattle. The community is primarily single-family homes, but some duplexes and other small apartment buildings are scattered throughout the area. I-5 Colonnade

I-5 Colonnade: A great spot to catch a game with friends or go for a hike. The trail is approximately one mile long and runs along the west side of Lake Union.

 

Fairview Park

Fairview Park: A local favorite for weddings, events, and picnics! There are many picnic tables, grills available –even a gazebo where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful views.

 

Terry Pettus Park

Terry Pettus Park: A dog-friendly park with ample green space for playing! There are also trails and a dock where you can take your furry friend on an exciting day on the water.

 

Lynn Street Mini Park

Lynn Street Mini Park: This tiny green space is tucked away on a residential street in Eastlake. There are two benches and some grassy areas where you can sit for an afternoon read, enjoy a picnic lunch or watch the boats go by on Lake Union.

 

Space Needle

Space Needle: Take a trip to the top and enjoy 360-degree views of Seattle! You can choose to take the elevator or climb stairs (and a few catwalks) on your way up. The Space Needle is open 365 days a year; you can even go at night and see the city lights from above!

May Day Celebration: Eastlake Neighborhood’s May Day is a massive community event. In Seattle, May Day is a day to celebrate the worker and immigrant rights movement on International Workers’ Day. Eastlake’s May Day celebration has grown into a full day of events, including an outdoor market, parade, and live performances at the Eastlake Community Center.

 

Memorial Day Parade: The Eastlake neighborhood hosts a Memorial Day Parade every year. This is one of the largest parades in Seattle, attracting more than 500 people. It is a great way to honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. This is also an excellent opportunity to meet your neighbors!

 

Annual Garage Sales: Every summer, the Eastlake neighborhood holds an annual garage sale. This is a great way to meet some of your neighbors and find some great deals.

Deep Freeze Ice Skating Event: The local neighborhood association hosts an ice skating event for residents so everyone can enjoy wintertime activities together. Skates are provided, but you must prove to be a resident of the Eastlake neighborhood to borrow skates.

 

Annual Christmas Parade: The city hosts an annual parade on December 26th, primarily sponsored by local businesses and organizations from around the area, including many who have been involved with this event for decades! This is another excellent opportunity to meet some of your neighbors and have a great time.

 

Good Turn Park Clean-Up: This neighborhood park is the site of an extensive community clean-up every year around Earth Day. The event helps to keep Eastlake Seattle’s environment beautiful and work together with neighbors in your area!

 

Eastlake Tree Walk: The Eastlake neighborhood has some great urban forests perfect for taking a relaxing walk to enjoy nature. Every year around the end of September, residents gather together at this park to take part in an annual tree walk tour!
