According to 2016 Census Bureau data, approximately 2486 residents lived in this part of town. It has an average household income per capita that exceeds $31k compared to other neighborhoods around the United States. It is estimated that about 69% of households own their homes here. In comparison, 30% rent them out instead. Property taxes in 2019 are right around $1226 per year on average for single-family dwellings.

 

The main arterial streets are SW 45th Ave, 47th Ave, and 49th Ave, while the smaller residential streets include Butte St, Nevada Ct, and Yamhill Ct. The schools that serve this area are Jackson Middle School and Wilson High School, both parts of the Portland Public Schools district. There is a mix of architectural styles found in Piedmont Neighborhood with primarily single-family homes built during the early 1900s and including some multi-unit dwellings and recent infill developments.
